2009 has brought some ups and downs.
DF has his shop up and running full time. It seems to be doing well and I am proud of his hard work. He is a great business man.
My job ended in February, which is better off since that job wasn't taking me anywhere, anyway. Very poorly run and managed, but either way... I'm glad it's over.
I've been venturing on some new opportunities. I should receive 2 job offers either later this afternoon or by Monday. Some fairly distinct pros and cons of each position to weigh.
Position A: Pros - Great job title, a step up from where I have been recently, tons of responsibility, great staff, fun working environment, can bring puppy to work with me, a real chance to show my ability and skills. Cons - no health insurance, possible low salary if I cannot negotiate higher, longer commute, room for raises but no room for advancement to a higher title.
Position B: Pros - fairly short commute, higher salary, full benefits, nice work environment, my own office, room for advancement and raises. Cons - lower job title, possible lack of enough work, dealing with multiple managers instead of managing myself.
So, as one can see, there is a lot to consider. We will see how it all pans out in the end.
On the knitting scene, I've opened my Etsy shop for NudistaKNITS! I had my first item sold with 12 hours of opening shop. I've recently finished up a ton of dishcloths.
Planning to update more this year. Life just takes it's toll and distracts you from... well, life...
