2009 Brings a Facelift

2009 has brought some ups and downs.

DF has his shop up and running full time. It seems to be doing well and I am proud of his hard work. He is a great business man.

My job ended in February, which is better off since that job wasn't taking me anywhere, anyway. Very poorly run and managed, but either way... I'm glad it's over.

I've been venturing on some new opportunities. I should receive 2 job offers either later this afternoon or by Monday. Some fairly distinct pros and cons of each position to weigh.

Position A: Pros - Great job title, a step up from where I have been recently, tons of responsibility, great staff, fun working environment, can bring puppy to work with me, a real chance to show my ability and skills. Cons - no health insurance, possible low salary if I cannot negotiate higher, longer commute, room for raises but no room for advancement to a higher title.

Position B: Pros - fairly short commute, higher salary, full benefits, nice work environment, my own office, room for advancement and raises. Cons - lower job title, possible lack of enough work, dealing with multiple managers instead of managing myself.

So, as one can see, there is a lot to consider. We will see how it all pans out in the end.

On the knitting scene, I've opened my Etsy shop for NudistaKNITS! I had my first item sold with 12 hours of opening shop. I've recently finished up a ton of dishcloths.

Planning to update more this year. Life just takes it's toll and distracts you from... well, life...

I think I've Lost My Head

The doctor has been running me around this week. Every 10 minutes, "Katie! Have you finished that yet?" But not only that, about every 15 minutes he gives me a new project. So, as you can tell, I am running a little rampid.

More to post tomorrow...

Aching

Definitely feeling like death today. Up WAY too late. Fancy fiance decided we would stay out till 3 a.m. this morning. Although, his capability to work from home whenever he feels like it is starting to irritate me since I can't do the same.

Hopefully the Doctor will just stay home today. No patients... no need for him to be here. He'll just drive us crazy anyway.

I brought 2 projects with me today... Monty and my crochet hook holder. Although, I can say I have zero motivation to work on either one of them right now... let alone motivation enough to blink.

The list goes on and on. Sounds perfect! I am an excellent candidate for this position, as I, by some miricle happen to meet all of these requirements.

Hmmm... salary? Searching... searching... searching... ah ha. WTF?!?!? $10-$12 per hour!?!

I couldn't support a flea on that income. Another one bites the dust...

Hours Worked, Wages Lost

After working in the corporate world for the past 10 years I have come to realize that every boss/owner is in it for themself, and themself only.

I'm all, "Hey... you screwed up my paycheck!" Mr. Bossman is all, "Ummm, yeah. We'll touch base on that in a few weeks. Mmmmmkay?"

Headaches of the World, UNITE!

It has come to my attention that every morning when leaving the house for work, I can feel this little irk starting in my temple. You know the one. The one that you know will turn into a full blown migraine in approximately 2 hours. I've come to the conclusion -

Work = Headache

Not the type of headache that is "ooh my head aches... woe is me." I mean the kind that is "anyone who talks to me is going to get their F&^%$@# head bitten off."

However, my cleanse diet seems to be going swimmingly! I've lost 7lbs already. Can't beat that!
